In class we have been learning about Diwali, Diwali means row of lighted lamps. The festivals celebrate lightness over darkness. The goddess of wealth Lakshmi is honoured during the celebration .Diwali is about when the demon Ravana who was the evil king with 10 arms and 10 heads kidnapped Sita then Rama came and killed Ravana and rescued Sita and Rama became king the people from the village placed rows of Diyas to guide Rama and Sita home .Before Diwali people buy new clothes. They clean inside and outside of their houses. Parents prepare a feasts. After Eating kids light fireworks. Once Diwali is all finished everyone cleans.

Making the flower was really fun. I liked seeing the flower come together. Gluing the pedals in the right place was the hardest thing to do. My favourite part of making the flower was cutting out the pedals.
